Start menu to return in Windows 8.2

Microsoft is planning to return the Start menu to Windows when it releases the next major update.

According to reports, the next major update to Windows 8 will bring back the Start menu. Microsoft expert, Paul Thurrott of Supersite for Windows has said that company is planning to bring back the much asked for menu.
The first major update to Windows 8, Windows 8.1 brought back the Start button after many complaints. However, its reintroduction failed to quell many of the complaints.
Unlike in previous versions of Windows, pressing the button takes users back to the Windows Metro interface.
Another feature that is much requested by users and may be making its way to Windows 8.2 – codenamed Threshold – is the ability to run Metro apps in Windows mode.
That would mean users would be able to run apps such as Skype and SkyDrive in a more traditional way without needing to use a third party application.
